Welcome to Spirit Bear Cotons,

It seems like yesterday that I purchased my first Coton de Tulear but time flies quickly. It was 2006 that I spent six months researching the breed and finally made the decision to purchase my first Coton from a Breeder out of the United States. Since then I have had many rewarding educational experiences that have come from my showing and later breeding my Cotons.

It has taken me longer than expected to get a web site up for my small breeding program as I have dedicated a lot of time towards helping people learn more about the breed.

Over four years ago I started the Coton de Tulear Facebook Group with the hope that I could connect with breeders and other owners of this still considered rare breed dog. Today that group has grown to become a world renown friendly online group to talk about everything Coton. I have personally learned so much from this group and it is nice to know that others will not feel the frustration that I felt in the beginning trying to find information such as grooming techniques and best health care practices.

As time evolved I took it a step forward and started the Coton de Tulear Chatter blog in an effort to profile grooming products and other general information that I have personally found helpful in keeping my Cotons beautiful and healthy.

Three years ago I started showing my dogs and that has taught me a lot about the importance of the structure of the Coton and the importance it plays in the long term health of the Coton de Tulear. Eventually I had my first litters and that too has been an enjoyable experience especially knowing that others are enjoying this loving clown like dog and of course my dogs legacies continue through their puppies.

Now as I begin to put this web site together it is yet another place to document everything Coton and I hope that should you have questions regarding this breed that you will feel comfortable contacting me so that we can talk Coton.

Thank you again for visiting my web site...
